Money does not exist in Snowbank until it is sitting in an envelope, and every expense comes out of one. That single rule is what makes a budget honest: you cannot spend from a pot you never filled.

Record what you owe and what you pay, and watch the order of attack update as balances fall. The point of the snowball is momentum, which needs to be visible to work.

No bank connection. On purpose.

Snowbank never asks for your bank login and is not connected to any financial institution. Every figure in it is one you typed. That means a few seconds at the till — and it also means there are no bank credentials to leak, because we never had them.

Works at the till

Budgeting happens in supermarkets, where signal is bad. Anything you enter offline is queued and sent when the connection returns.

Your data stays yours

One account, on a server we run ourselves. No advertising, no analytics, no trackers, and nothing sold to anyone. Ask and we will export it all or delete it outright.
