Flick for Plex · iOS and Android
Flick Terms of Use
Last updated: 21 August 2026
By using Flick (“the app”), published by Utileau, you agree to these terms.
What the app is
Flick is a client for Plex Media Server. It connects to your Plex account and to servers you have access to, and helps you sort, rate, and organise the media already in those libraries.
Flick does not provide, host, stream, or supply any media. Everything you see in the app comes from your own server or one shared with you. What you keep on that server, and your right to keep it, is your responsibility.
You need a Plex account
The app is unusable without a Plex account and access to at least one Plex Media Server. Those are provided by Plex GmbH under their own terms, which you are also bound by. We are not responsible for Plex's services, availability, or pricing.
Changes the app makes to your server
Flick writes to your Plex server on your instruction: ratings, watched and unwatched state, watchlist entries, and playlist contents.
Permanent deletion. The app can permanently delete media files from your server. This is off by default, must be turned on deliberately in Settings, and asks you to confirm before each deletion. Deletion is irreversible — by us, by the app, and by Plex.
You are solely responsible for deletions you confirm. Keep backups. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for lost media, however that loss arises.
Purchases
Flick is free to download. It may offer a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that removes advertising.
Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, not by us. They are tied to your Apple ID or Google account and can be restored from within the app. Refunds are handled entirely by the platform under their policies — we cannot issue them. The purchase is one-time; it is not a subscription and there is nothing to cancel.
Acceptable use
Do not use Flick to access servers you are not authorised to use, to break any law, or to interfere with Plex's services or anyone else's server.
No warranty
The app is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every Plex server version.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Utileau is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or media, arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us for the app in the preceding twelve months.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may discontinue the app or any feature at any time.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
